TLC
has plans for a facility that will provide an adoption center, a
sanctuary for long term animals and a center for community education. A
place where animals receive quality care as they wait to be adopted. A
place where the community participates in events and activities with
their animals. A place where school children come and learn how to care
for animals. A place that is an asset to the community.
TLC
dreams of a true shelter for animals. A place where animals can live
until they are adopted or until they die a natural death. A place where
people who love animals can love animals. A place where animals are
treated with respect for the contribution they bring to our lives.
And it is happening!
TLC's
property is on a beautiful 5.87 acres on Red Oak Flats Road
acquired in 2001. The simple block house is sound, and there is a good
well.
Before
August, 2005
In
2002, we made the following improvements to the house.
-
installed heating and
air conditioning
-
painted and repaired the
inside
-
laid a new floor
-
added a red metal roof
-
updated the electrical
-
and poured the concrete
for the cat porch, 2 dog kennels,
-
built a cat porch
-
added a driveway,
parking, sidewalks and a truckport to
protect the truck

2005
After two years of other
management, the folks who had the vision of an animal care complex were
asked to return to the management of TLC. Our next projects are to
rebuild our dog kennels, renovate the above building, and begin on
the dog park and when funds are available we will be building a dog care
facility.
TLC is committed to remaining debt free
and will not incur debt during this time of tremendous opportunity.
Therefore all funds must be in hand before expenses will be incurred.
