I Have An Animal I Need A Home For. Can you take it?

TLC is not licensed to take in animals from the public. In December 2004 TLC met with the Department of Agriculture to determine how TLC would fit into the community structure since Lumpkin County now has an active animal control program and a county shelter run by PAWS.

TLC is redefining its place in the community. Preliminary plans include:

  •  rehabilitation for cats and dogs that are diseased, injured, unsocialized, the very young or very old.
  • long term care of animals that have not been adopted or who need special care
  • humane education including but not limited to dog obedience training, school programs, an interactive learning center, classes
  • programs that increase the human-animal bond
  • disaster response

If the animal is aggressive or acting strangely, stay away from it and call Lumpkin County Animal Control.

  •
  •  If yes, call animal control. In Lumpkin County call the sheriff's department at 706-864-3633. In other areas call 911.
